In 2021 the visionary Irish director Sau Dachi and Standard Practice Productions started to bring his latest feature film, ‘Suit Hung. Tied Tongue.’ to life.
The film tells the visceral tale of two brothers who become slowly and anarchically radicalized, and whose actions cause national outrage. The story is presented as a film- documentary, in a way that makes it hard to understand if it’s fictional or not.
In 2023 when the shootings were finally concluded, the director wanted the Italian composer Dario Rodighiero to score the film. They knew each other from previous collaborations where Dario composed the trailer music for another film and the trailer music for ‘Suit Hung. Tied Tongue.’ Which is included in the movie itself, as a background for a critical monologue and it’s one of the 20 tracks of the Soundtrack’s album.

Born with an innate musical sensibility, Italian composer and pianist Dario Rodighiero’s journey into the realm of music began at an early age. His early exposure to numerous genres laid the foundation for his eclectic style, characterized by a fusion of these diverse influences. Rodighiero’s compositions are not confined by genre; instead, they traverse a spectrum that effortlessly incorporates elements from different cultures and eras.
Escape from the Monsoons (Pirates)
for INSTRUMENTAL COMPOSITION
One day I saw the illustration of these two characters on an air balloon and I immediately imagined an incredible fantasy adventure where two little brothers (The Glockenspiels) build this amazing balloon and decide to test it. Doing so, they end up lost and surrounded by unexpected worlds that they would have never imagined. I wrote the music for 5 different scenes, and this is the one when they fly over an ocean and meet an unusual pirate ship. The idea is to realize this movie with the best production available.
